Affected extensively by the subprime debt crisis broken out in 2007, internationalization of banks in the west has been slowed down obviously, and international business sharply decreased. Therefore, the third wave of international marketing has been drawn to a close. When the forth is coming is expectable. To explode the causes to carry out international marketing of commercial banks of China is of great significance.This thesis summarizes some theories about motives of international marketing of banks, and sorts out them by equipping the comparative advantage, and then researches empirically motives in many aspects for international marketing of our commercial banks from both exogenous and endogenous comparative advantages.The empirical results explain the motives, but some actual situations can not be explained very well. In order to handle the problem, some non-market factors with Chinese characteristics are input into the model, and the problem is resolved perfectly.Finally, the thesis concludes the motive mechanism and puts forward a proposal to phase international marketing of our commercial banks to carry out based on exogenous and endogenous comparative advantages.
