In recent years, as the rapid development of our country's economy and the openings of financial market, competition between banks is becoming more and more fiercely. Generally, Commercial bank outlets are still important strategic resources. Having large scale of branches not only reflects the strength of banks, but also the need of the competition between banks. Commercial banks are increasing the number of outlets, but some shortcomings expose in this processing. The traditional methods for site selection reveal some shortcomings. For example, some commercial banks' network construction presented repeatability and blindness, which made some banks into bad situation. How to optimize the bank's network layout and giving full play to the network marketing has become an emergent problem for banks to face the competition and its future development. Therefore, it is necessary for us to study the location of commercial bank branches.This thesis processed with the analysis of what should be paid attention to when establish new branches, how to set up new branches properly, and the tragedy of site selection. Hoping to offer some useful suggestions to site selection.
