With the rapid development of production and modern information technology, the influence of customer driving power is increasing fast. More and more manufacturing enterprises gradually have taken make-to-order mode to reap profit and competition predominance. While in this mode of production, the decision for accepting or rejecting a rush order often puzzles decision-makers. Receiving orders, on the one hand, can improve the profit of the enterprise. One the other hand, it can increase the related cost due to the consumption of the productivity. In addition, the acceptance of rush order may cause the delay in delivery of the orders in original MPS. It`s a difficult problem to process rush orders for decision makers. Therefore, the study of rush order is significantly important. This paper detailed analyzes the difficulties to accepting or rejecting the rush order, summing up and expounding the common method of inserting rush orders, as well as the scheme related. Using the grey relational analysis method to determine the priority of the rush orders, this paper make detail study on the acceptance strategy of rush order under the ATO mode. Under the background of ATO mode, this paper study the acceptance strategy based on the reality of the enterprise. According to the different inserting time of the rush orders, this paper considers the conditions that insert orders into a single batch as well as between two batches. And establish the acceptance strategy under these two conditions, fully considering the production cost, material procurement cost, material inventory cost, finished goods inventory cost, latency cost, equipment installation cost and labor cost. The aim of the model is to realize the profit maximization. Finally, this paper use Lingo software to simulate the 2nd kind of circumstance, and analize the computational results. Sum up the change trend of each cost under the change of labor scale. This verify the feasibility of this model.
