With the coming of foreign-owned banks and deepening of finance,the competition which Chinese banks face with will be comprehensive and challenging.Thus,how to design a structure of competition strategy in order to conduct banks' competency-fostering , develop new function continually,get new core ability and improve competency becomes very important for banks. The relative practice and theory now available all have some disadvantages to a degree,so they can't come up with effective support to the banks' especially the developing sharehold commercial banks' competing activities in different levels.Based on the view of resource-based theory,this thesis gives a different competition strategy in particular level by merging all kinds of competition strategies newly.The foreword of the thesis points out the importance of the developing sharehold commercial banks carrying out the competition stratery and defines the range of developing sharehold commercial banks.The rest thesis consists of five sections.The first section introduces the basic concept of competition strategy management,analyses competition in commercial banks in the view of theoretical foundation and its meaning/then analyses the theory and practice of competition strategy both in foreign and home commercial banks by comparison.The second section carrys on the competitor analysis from the competitors' future goal, their management suppositions, their present strategies, their resources and ability and the future possible competition motions.It also inspects the opportunities and the challenges from the economical and the social environment two aspects which the macroscopic environment brought, then appraises the developing sharehold commercial banks by the products and the services, the retail channels, the market marketing, the research and development ability, the economic potentiality and the comprehensive management ability .
