| Since 1960s, cruise tourism has become one of the fastest-growing items in international tourism. With the development of cruise tourism, the" economic of cruise line" toke an important role in some regions. Sometimes it could become the "Pole of Growth" to a port city. The "economic of cruise line" has not been developed in China yet, while some coastal cities have had the potentials to expand it, among which Shanghai is most outstanding. Shanghai has a superior geographical position, a good passenger terminal, abundant traveling resources, convenient transportation and the largest ship yard in China, all of which will be beneficial to expand the "economic of cruise line". A new international passenger terminal has been constructed in Northern Bund in Shanghai at present time. Shanghai government wants to forge this terminal as a homeport for international cruise lines, thus to develop the "economic of cruise line". Then, will Shanghai succeed in forging this concept? Does Shanghai have a good foundation for "economic of cruise line"? That's I discussed in this dissertation. In the first two chapters, the paper introduces the cruise industry and the "economic of cruise line", and illustrates the present conditions for cruising in Asia and Shanghai. In next two chapters, the paper analyses the cruise tourism market in Shanghai from the demand and supply part, and the conditions for Shanghai from political, economical, technological and social point. From the analysis, we can draw that Shanghai has got prepared to develop the "economic of cruise line". In the last chapter, some solutions are put forward in order to settle the problems during Shanghai's cruising economy development. The third and forth chapter are the emphasis of this paper. In these two chapters, the triple smoothing model and "Analysis of PEST" are applied. |
