Research On The Development Strategy Of Cruise Economy Of Xiamen Port In The New Situation

The 21st century is the century of the oceans,the marine economy has become the focus of global development,and marine power has become an important development strategy of China.Cruise tourism,a new marine industry,due to its particularity of merging tourism and transportation industries and its huge economic value,is rapidly rising with a high speed of development.Under the guidance of national policy,the cruise industry has walked through extensive development,and entered the second decade of refined development.The dispute of which port is the cruise homeport is becoming more and more fierce.With Xiamen bearing the responsibility of constructing an international shipping center,and building the strategic pivot city of the maritime silk road,it is particularly important for Xiamen to develop a strong cruise economy.Firstly,this paper briefly introduces the concept of cruise industry chain,and reviews the development of cruise industry at home and abroad;And by using the tourism multiplier to estimate the economic benefits of cruise tourism to Xiamen,it highlights the strategic significance of developing cruise industry;Then it uses SWOT method to analyze the advantages of Xiamen port of port conditions,traffic network,tourism resources and its Taiwan-oriented advantages in the new situation,and points out its disadvantages of cruise development foundation,cruise industry chain,material supply level and cruise talents.According to the SWOT analysis and strategic objectives,it formulates the corresponding strategic plan and strategic priorities.In the new situation,Xiamen port should actively grasp the Visa-free opportunities,actively seek policy breakthrough,strengthen cooperation with all parties,improve the level of material supply,build a complete cruise industry chain,and improve the competitiveness and strategic position of Xiamen port as a cruise homeport.
