This paper studied national railway strategy of China. At first, the paper introduces railway relative concept, then analyzes question that china national railway confronts and necessity that formulates strategy. With the development and progress of economy, think that national railway transportation has failed to meet social demand and strength of market competition is descending. So national railway transportation enterprise is needed to work out action projects during a period of future from strategy commanding point.The paper based on analysis of strategy management theory to combine macroscopic with microcosmic and qualitative with quantitative, layer upon layer forward studying.The paper, on the one hand, analyzes the effect of outside decision facts on carrying trade and railway professional transportation, analyzes pattern of five kinds of competitive forces .By our analysis, find out opportunity and threaten, define main competitor. On the other hand, for knowing the enemy and knowing yourself, the paper particularly analyzes resourceful condition of inside material object, financial affairs, organization, manual labor, culture and image of enterprise of national railway, finds key factors of success of railway transportation, designs and analyzes national railway transportation chain by made of passenger-cargo marketing, transportation organization and market management, defines lifecycle of railway transportation.According to strategy management theory and enterprise mission, combine practice of national railway transportation, after analyzing three kind of development strategy, the result is that the single-crop fanning development strategy accords with a long-term profit of national railway enterprise development.The paper at last raises more concrete plans and steps for national railway transportation strategy.
