Jiangsu Province, located in coastal area in the southeast, owns the superior natural conditions. Generally speaking, coordinated relation has been displayed between transportation construction and regional economy. However, the coordinated relation between the two didn't exit all the time necessarily in view of the development course of the two. Especially during the time when the "eleventh five" plan is being put into effect, it needs coordinated development between economy and its subsystem to promote the smooth fulfillment of "eleventh five" plan ahead of time. As a result, studying the coordinated development between transportation construction and regional economy of Jiangsu Province has practical meaning. This paper firstly applies PCA to evaluate the development state of regional economy and transportation construction of Jiangsu Province separately;Secondly on the basis of the appraisal above, it applies Simply Correlation Analysis and Canonical Correlation Analysis to study the statistical correlation between the two systems, which aims to understand the correlation between the two better. Lastly it researches on coordinated development between transportation construction and regional economy of Jiangsu Province from three sides: theoretical research on the coordinated development, the static analysis of coordinated development between the two, and the dynamic analysis of coordinated development is implemented based on the analysis of interactively validity of two systems. Hopefully the paper would produce certain directive significance to the harmonious development in the future of Jiangsu Province.
