The main features of agriculture decide its strategic significance in national economy. All of developed country and underdeveloped country have been offered a certain degree of support and protection. The support and protection of agricultural has a very long history. It can be date back to 18 contrary. After two countries of develop, both in theory and in practice the developed country has been form a system. But in china, the support and protection of agricultural at a comparatively late date as so as exists many problems. The thesis does a comparative analysis of policies before open-door reform or after open-door reform, mechanical application of foreign experience, put forward suitable policies adjustments of agriculture to the actual conditions of our country. China entered the World Trade Organization on November2001, It means China must fulfills the agricultural agreement. It is against this background to study this thesis offer reasons for government.The thesis contains three chapters and is organized as follows:Chapter one makes a theoretical review. The definition, the methods and the expenses of Agricultural Support and Protection Policies have been drawn in this section. And what go on provides the background, which introduces the related rules of W TO Agricultural Agreements. Chapter two summarizes the policies, the characteristics and the limitation of China's agricultural support and protection both before and after 1978's open-door reform. Chapter three is the suggestion of agricultural supports and protection system, In terms of the research all above, the suitable policies adjustments have been given in this Chapter.
