Central Plains City Group Development Research

In terms of the coordinated regional development of our country, the central region is certain to rise. Since the new century came in a new round of regional economic competition has started quietly. The trans-administrative-divisions regional economic integration, in particular, has seen more and more progress, from theoretical study to practical probe. Economic cooperation between governments of the administrative divisions is going on and the regional interactive development has become a major feature of the economic development of our country. For Henan Province, to establish and develop the Central Plains City Group is an effective response to the new round of regional competition of our country and a wise choice to go along with the tendency of the day when the central part of China is speeding up its development. The economy of the Central Plains will be getting stronger through the national coordinated regional development.Taking the establishment and development of the Central Plains City Group as the object of study, this paper starts from putting forward of the concept, then through theoretical analysis and substantive analysis, which study the selected analogical objects and SWOT, to analyze the situation of the present development of the Central Plains City Group, and finally proposes the strategic mentality and the development key for the all-round and sustainable development of the whole city group. The paper has five parts as follows:I. Based on the definite definition of the object of study, looks back on the process of putting forward of the concept of Central Plains City Group and the establishment of Central Plains City Group while considering the trend of international and internal regional economic development, government's macro-regional policy.II. Collect and inducts this article study the related basic theory.III. Takes"the city, urbanized, the city group logical relations - city group theory"as the research vein, the induction summarizes the city group theory, takes it as the area south of Yellow River city group to set up with the development theory strut. And in this foundation, carries on the analysis from the different angle to the area south of Yellow River city group characteristic.IV. Chooses Yangtze Delta City Group and Wuhan City Group as objects, analyzes the area south of Central Plains City Group;chooses the nine cities to carry on the contrast to analyze these internal situation;through SWOT method objective the situation of the development of Central Plains City Group.V. Based on the before studies, unifies the city groups development theory and trend, proposes the strategic mentality and the key of the development system of Central Plains City Group.
