As the opening of financial market in china, many state-owned commercial bankscompete fiercely with foreign banks. The state-owned commercial banks stay at ainferior position in the competition because of low organizational efficiency. Thoughinnovation has been carried out by many domestic commercial banks to change thispassive situation, as the problems formed long ago this situation can not be solvedcurrently, further innovation about organization architecture is still needed to satisfythe demand of customers and market.Based on the theories of commercial bank organization structure, this paper firstlyrecalls the evolution of the state-owned commercial bank organizational structure,summarizes the disadvantages of state-owned commercial bank sites such asuneconomical sites distribution, too many administrative levels, unscientificdepartment establishment, weak market competition ability and weak sense of service.And then, through the investigation into western commercial banks, draws someinspiration mainly as follows: emphasizing on "customer centered, market directed",double-dimension management model, efficiency principle of organization design,setting sites by economic benefit principle, improving core competition ability.,putting forward countermeasures of reforming of state-owned commercial bankorganization structure such as carrying out flat organization structure, improvisingorganization function efficiency, strengthen employee prompting, setting sites mainlyon economic area, regionalism as reference and optimizing the establishment offunctional department. Finally the thesis takes the organization structure reforming ofbranch bank in city Z as an example, provides some advice for the organizationstructure reforming of domestic commercial banks through analyzing the achievementof its reformation and problems existed.
