Dulong Women Tattoos Examination

Dulong is one of the oldest nations in China with splendid culture, while tattoos on the faces of their women is the culture heritage of this nation with great research value. Dulong people concentrated in the Gongshan Dulong Nu Autonomous County of Drung River valley in northwest of Yunnan Province. Their image and life are very valuable, those profiles are called "living fossil". Regardless of its origin, it should be protected as a rare culture heritage. The author put her research focus on the origin and meaning of their tattoos on faces.
