Study Of Regional Economic Integration In The Process Of National Economic Security

Economic globalization exposes its own shortcomings gradually with the development of world economy, so countries are turning their eyes to another way of cooperation—Regional Economic Cooperation, which is the result of productive forces development and the trends of present-day economy. Not only does it shun the challenge of Economic globalization to some extent, but also it makes the resource flowing effectively and arranged reasonably. Countries get more benefits from economy of scale and trade creation. However, it should be noticed that the regional economic cooperation can not solve all the problems. Moreover, it has its own hidden troubles, such as demisability of national sovereignty is challenging people's traditional concepts; "freedom inside, protection outside" leads to the rising of trade protectionism; difference in status and benefits between the rich and poor countries makes them unsatisfied, and regional policies are hard to set down. The conflictions which are not threatening the economic security are just obstacles to the regional economic cooperation at present. However, it may cause dissension even distrust among countries if governments do not pay more attention. Regional economic cooperation will be affected passively as well. The purpose of this paper is to collect the existing problems and covered troubles. Meanwhile, some solutions are suggested so that we can nip the danger in the bud during the process of integration. The paper is carrying out from the following four chapters:In the first chapter, general introduction is given through the significance of the paper, the studying situation at home and abroad, the frame of the paper, creation and shortcomings.In the second chapter, the importance of regional economic cooperation and national economic security is introduced through the concepts, the traits and the situation; and also the effects of regional economic cooperation on national economic security are analyzed. In the third chapter, the economic security problems which may happen to China are analyzed. East-Asia is the most important group for China, and it has its own particularity, so the effect on China's economic security from East-Asia is analyzed in this chapter.In the forth chapter, it suggests that Chinese government should pay more attention to its own national economic security and adopt practical policies and strategies, which includes the establishment of scientific prediction and supervision system, forging powerful national competition abilities and constructing favorable exterior economic environment.All in all, it is necessary for us to study and research the national economic security problems during the process of integration more deeply, conclude the problems in China and give some suggestions. Hopefully, the paper will be helpful to the process of China's regional economic cooperation.
