Tianjin Binhai New Area Industrial Cohort Studies

The formation and development of Industry Cluster Theory has a profound socio-economic background. After the industrial revolution, family workshops and factories replaced manual workshops, a large number of enterprises emerged. The scale of factories became bigger. Increasingly close ties among the enterprises has been established. From a global perspective, the industrial cluster has been an effective mode of promoting regional economic growth which is a universal phenomenon. After years of development, China's industrial clusters has been gathering a large number of resources and has becoming a new growth point of the local economy.In this paper, the first chapter introduces the Industrial Cluster Theory, including the present condition of the theoretical study of Industry Cluster Theory, Industry Cluster Life Cycle, Industry Chain Theory and other theories. Chapter II analyzes the industrial cluster development process of developed countries of Europe and the United States. and extracted meaningful experience for Binhai development. Chapter III analyzes the present condition of Binhai on the theory base of Industrial Chain, Industrial Clusters Life-cycle theory then draw a conclusion that the industrial chain integrity of Binhai needs to be improved. It analyzes the whole condition of Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei, and draws a conclusion that the radiation effects of Binhai is limited. According to the problems of Binhai, chapter IV gives suggestions-develops intermediary service organizations, attaches importance to the development of SMEs, and integrates regional resources, and changes the functions of government.
