A Research On The Interactive Effects Between The Circulation Industry And Manufacture Industry Of China

Driven by the rapid development of information technology,the continuous upgrading of consumption,the diversification and individualization of consumer demand,the global service industry is developing rapidly.With the advent of the service economy era,the trend of an interactive extension and penetration between the circulation industry and the manufacturing industry is arising,and the breadth and depth of the interaction and integration between the two industries are deepening gradually.Being an important sector of service industry,the circulation industry has the dual attributes of producer service and consumer service,acts the function of connecting production and consumption,and has a strong industrial correlation,which will play an increasingly important role in economic development.The circulation industry is developing not only by expanding the internal division of the manufacturing industry,but also by leading and coordinating production with the advantages of information and specialization,which has a positive impact on the development of manufacturing industry.With the increasing participation of the circulation industry in the production process of the manufacturing industry,its service function to production is prominent.The circulation industry improves the added value of products and produces positive spillover effect on the development and efficiency of the manufacturing industry by optimizing the circulation channels,rationalizing the organizational structure and reducing the cost of distribution process.Therefore,in the process of China's upgrading of manufacturing industry,it is important to promote the interactive and coordinated development between the circulation industry and manufacture industry,so as to upgrade the industrial structure,improve the economic efficiency and enhance the high-quality development of economics.To strengthen the interactive development between the circulation industry and the manufacturing industry,it is not only beneficiary to improve the development of China's circulation industry and the supporting function of the circulation industry to the manufacturing industry in the long run,but also beneficiary to enhance the global competitiveness of China's manufacturing industry.The situation that China's manufacturing industry has been at the low end of the value chain will be reversed.In view of this,on the basis of the existing literature,this dissertation starts from the relationship between circulation and manufacturing,studies the process and effectof the interaction between the circulation and manufacturing industry from the industry level.Based on the theory of division of labor,industrial chain integration,industrial correlation and innovation,this dissertation discusses the theoretical mechanism of the correlation effect,spillover effect and radiation effect of interaction between the circulation and manufacturing industry,and does empirical analysis of the correlation effect,spillover effect and radiation effect of interaction from national,provincial and regional levels respectively.Combined with the results of theoretical and empirical analysis,the dissertation puts forward policy suggestions for enhancing the correlation effect,spillover effect and radiation effect of interaction between the circulation industry and manufacturing industry.This dissertation argues that industrial interaction is the basis of industrial integration,and industrial integration is the advanced stage of industrial interaction.Only when the industrial interaction develops to a certain extent,the boundary between the two industries will gradually blur or even disappear.In view of the integration between the circulation and manufacturing industry is a new feature reflected in the context of service economy,and the circulation of manufacturing is only reflected at the enterprise level,while its influence on the industry level is relatively limited,in addition,this dissertation studies the interaction between the circulation industry and the manufacturing industry from the perspective of industrial level,so the focus of the dissertation lies on the correlation effect,spillover effect and radiation effect of interaction between the circulation and manufacturing industry.The contents and conclusions of the dissertation are as follows:Firstly,this dissertation advances that the correlation effect,spillover effect and radiation effect of interaction between the circulation industry and the manufacturing industry consist of an interdependent,interrelated and inseparable system,which shows a step-by-step rise in the level of interaction from shallow to deep,from low to high,and from small to large.Moreover,the correlation effect of interaction is the premise and foundation of the interaction between the circulation industry and the manufacturing industry,the spillover effect of interaction is the power and symbol of the interaction between the circulation industry and the manufacturing industry,and the radiation effect of interaction is the value of the interaction between the circulation industry and the manufacturing industry.Secondly,on the basis of the combination of the characteristics of the three interactive evolution process between the circulation industry and the manufacturing industry,this dissertation summarizes the mechanism and implementation path of thecorrelation effect,spillover effect and radiation effect of interaction between the circulation industry and the manufacturing industry.Based on the theory of division of labor,industrial chain integration,industrial correlation,and the theory of innovation,this dissertation concludes that the correlation effect of interaction between the circulation industry and the manufacturing industry is realized through the correlation of input-output,technology and knowledge,market,institution and development level.The spillover effect of interaction between the circulation industry and manufacturing industry comes from the upgrading of the product,function,technology and industrial chain in the manufacturing industry which promoted by the innovation of circulation industry.In addition,the upgrading of the manufacturing industry provides a huge market for the circulation industry,which promotes the service innovation of the circulation industry,and helps the circulation industry to enhance its international competitiveness.The radiation effect of interaction between the circulation industry and manufacturing industry comes from the coordinated development between the two industries,which promotes the regional economic growth by enhancing the upgrading of industrial structure.Thirdly,the empirical analysis shows that the correlation effect between the circulation industry and manufacturing industry is significant both at the national level and provincial level,the correlation effect between the sub industries as transportation,storage and postal industry and manufacturing industry is significant,and the correlation effect between the sub industries as the wholesale and retail industry and manufacturing industry is not significant.At the regional level,the correlation effect between the circulation industry and manufacturing industry is significant in the eastern,middle and western region,and the order of effect from big to small is east,middle and west.Among the sub industries,the transportation,storage and post industry has significant correlation effect on manufacturing industry only in the eastern region,while wholesale and retail industry has no significant correlation effect on manufacturing industry in all the three regions.Fourthly,the results of empirical analysis show that the spillover effects of interaction between the circulation industry and the manufacturing industry are significant both at the national level and the provincial level.At the regional level,the spillover effects of interaction between the circulation industry and the manufacturing industry are significant in the eastern,middle and western region.Fifthly,the radiation effect of interaction between the manufacturing and circulation industry is significant both at the national level and at provincial level,thatis,the coordinated development of the manufacturing and circulation industry promotes the regional economic growth.The model of intermediary effect shows that there is a complete intermediary effect at both the national level and the provincial level,and the empirical results verify the theoretical mechanism of the radiation effect of interaction,that is,the radiation effect of interaction between the circulation and manufacturing industry is realized through the enhancement of upgrading industrial structure resulted by the coordinated development of the two industries.At the regional level,the radiation effect of interaction between the manufacturing and circulation industry is significant in the eastern,middle and western region.The empirical results of the intermediary effect model show that there is a complete intermediary effect in the eastern and the middle region,while there is a partial intermediary effect in the western region.The innovation of the dissertation lies on the follow three points:Firstly,this dissertation divides the effect of interaction between the circulation and manufacturing industry into correlation effect of interaction,spillover effect of interaction and radiation effect of interaction.The existing literature lacks comprehensive,in-depth and systematic research on the effect of interaction between circulation and manufacturing industry,and does not form a systematic theoretical research framework.In this dissertation,the effects of interaction between circulation and manufacturing industry are divided into correlation effect of interaction,spillover effect of interaction and radiation effect of interaction.Based on the definition of these three effects,the theoretical mechanism of the three effects is analyzed,thus to further deepen the research on the interaction between the circulation and the manufacturing industry.Secondly,a scientific and systematic method is proposed to measure the correlation effect,spillover effect and radiation effect of interaction.The input-output analysis method has been used to measure the correlation effect of interaction between producer service and manufacturing industry in the existing literature.As the Input-Output Table of China is compiled every five years,the latest table is announced in 2017,while the latest table at the provincial level is released in 2012.In order to measure the interaction effect between the circulation and manufacturing industry in a detailed and comprehensive way,and make the results of empirical analysis reflect the latest situation,the dissertation adopts the measurement methods other than input-output analysis,including autoregressive distribution lag model,dynamic panel data model,intermediary effect model,entropy weight method,etc.Thirdly,the dissertation deepens and enriches the theoretical results of the interactive development of the circulation and manufacturing industry.The existing research focuses on the analysis of the impact of the circulation industry to the manufacturing industry,while the studies on the influence of the manufacturing industry to the circulation industry is not enough,moreover,a few analysis of the issue focus on a specific nation or a region,rare literature pays attention to the regional differences.This dissertation discusses the interactive development between the circulation and the manufacturing industry from both the national and regional levels,it further deepens and enriches the theoretical research on service economy and industry economics.
