Technical Barriers To Trade And Measures Of China's Ceramics Exports

As our country joined the WTO, the Economic globalization has developed so fast. And the calling of the liberalization of trade is becoming strong. The customs duties and the non- customs barriers have been weaken gradually. Technical Barrier to Trade has been the main part of the barriers of trade. And it is used by developed countries as Europe and America to be a new tool for protectionism.Ceramics, as a traditional product for export of china, has a long history of export. In 2005, the export amount of Ceramics has over 20 hundred millions dollar and growing by years. But in recent times, the export of the Ceramics which is stands for the Chinese characteristics has been challenged by the Technical Barrier to Trade. So the research on the TBT and its influences to the export of the Ceramics is so important to us. How to answer readily to the Technical Barrier to Trade is the first question for our country in the international trading.In this article, the real diagnosis analysis normative analysis has been combined; the quantitative analysis and qualitative analysis has also been combined in order to research the TBT and its influences to the export of the Ceramics in our country deeply. In this basis, we systematic analyze the forming reasons and the action mechanism of the TBT.In this article, we first introduce the general situation of the TBT, Including: The meaning, the main content, the characteristics and the economic effects. And we put the emphasis on the influences to the export of the Ceramics. In the end, we get the measures for the macro- economy, the Ceramics industry and the Ceramics enterprises.We finally get the conclusion after the research: As the Europe cancel the quota restrictions in Ceramics in 2005 by the calling of the WTO, Technical Barrier to Trade becoming the main part of the barriers of trade for Ceramics. TBT is becoming the biggest problem for the export of the Ceramics.
