Personal Entrepreneurial Characteristics, Entrepreneurial Efficacy And Entrepreneurial Behavior Strategy Study

It is important that research about entrepreneurial self-efficacy emphasized in the field of entrepreneurial activities during these years. Entrepreneurial self-efficacy has significant affects in the relationship of entrepreneurial traits and entrepreneurial behavior.Based on the literature review, a theoretical model of entrepreneurial behavior has been developed, focusing the four strategies of entrepreneurial behavior studied from the research on entrepreneurial opportunities and resources, with explicitly confine the analysis at the individual level. We selected entrepreneurial traits, mainly about risk-taking propensity, innovative, need for achievement and locus of control, considering entrepreneurial self-efficacy and the strategies of entrepreneurial behavior, then developed several hypotheses. By questionnaire survey,SPSS statistic software,structural equation modeling, the model is empirically tested. The key conclusions indicated that:1. The entrepreneurial self-efficacy measures that include four core dimensions have been tested, and the model of entrepreneurial behavior has been tested.2. The relationship between entrepreneurial traits and these dimensions of entrepreneurial self-efficacy is positive, and risk-taking propensity, innovative and need for achievement have a strong positive effect on these dimensions, there is no significant affecting relation between locus of control and the four dimensions.3. The relationship between entrepreneurial self-efficacy and entrepreneurial behavior is positive, and these dimensions of entrepreneurial self-efficacy have a strong positive effect on the strategies of entrepreneurial behavior.4. Entrepreneurial self-efficacy has significant affects in the relationship of entrepreneurial traits and the strategies of entrepreneurial behavior.The results have provided us a better understanding on Chinese entrepreneurs,the entrepreneurial key drivers and the complex entrepreneurial behavior. More importantly, the results have demonstrated supportive evidence for the hypotheses based on the theoretical model, which provided an explanation on how entrepreneurial drivers affect the four strategies of entrepreneurial behavior. The study also contributed to the comparative research about entrepreneurial behavior and the development of entrepreneurs in future.
