Dynamic Mechanism Of Industrial Clusters And Innovative Research

With the development of studies on innovation, researchers have recognized that innovation is a complex and systematic process involving different economic departments and action agents, and the interaction between these agents are very important in innovation process. While studies on industrial cluster find that there are not only many enterprises and research institutions which are under great pressure of innovation, but also a steady symbiotic mechanism which facilitates learning, communication and progress which provide a cooperative process for innovation activities of enterprises and organizations as well as individual and group advantages. Therefore, innovation researchers begin to study innovation in cluster circumstance and cluster researchers pay more attention to the role of innovation in the development of cluster. Studies on innovation and studies on cluster begin to syncretize and cluster innovation becomes a hot topic of researchers from both fields. Among these researches, many discussed the dynamic mechanism of cluster innovation for its significance in improving the innovation ability of cluster and the development of regional economy.Cluster innovation refers to a collaborative innovation process of specialized enterprises in the same or related industries which cooperate with suppliers, customers, research institutions or universities, government and other agencies within the cluster. Because of geographic proximity, enterprises in cluster are under great pressure of competition, which drives the activities of innovation, the spillover and diffusion of the innovation through cooperation and collective learning. The dynamic mechanism of cluster innovation is the factors that have influence on cluster innovation along with their way of influence in the environment of cluster. Study on it helps us to understand the inner mechanism of cluster innovation, thus give some suggestions on improving the innovation ability and enhancing the competitiveness of regional economy.In this paper, first we summarized the researches on the dynamic mechanism of innovation and cluster innovation at present. We gave our definition of cluster innovation and analyzed the influence cluster has on innovation. We also gave a short description of the factors that influence cluster innovation. Next we studied three different dynamic mechanism of cluster innovation. They are competition and cooperation, collective learning and diffusion. We studied the dynamic mechanisms of these mechanisms and their way of influence through models. Based on these analyses, we established a synthesized model to analyze the multiple-dynamism of cluster innovation and analyzed the interactions of the dynamic mechanisms referred above in detail. At last, we gave our suggestions on further study.
