In the economic structure of our country, the small and medium-sized enterprise holds the extremely important status. The number of small and medium-sized enterprise takes up the 99% of total number of enterprises. Mean while, the gross value of industrial output, the profits and duties made by mall and medium-sized enterprises take up respectively about 60% and 40% of total volume of the entire nation. However, the extent and the level of informationization of small and medium-sized enterprise do not match the vital role they play the economic environment. They have just had a beginning in such procedure. ERP have been adopted into China for a long time, but the application is only widely accepted in the large companies. Because of the small volume, the weak human resource, and the relatively simple work flow, many people thought that ERP has nothing to do with them. We believe, with the severer and severer competition of marketing, small and medium-sized enterprises are facing the same challenges of making use of information technology, intensifying management and improving efficiency like large companies, so that the implementation of ERP has become their urgent task at present.During the procedure of implementation of ERP, some serious problems such as overpay of project budget, delay of project time and the bad quality of project will appear being in lack of management experiences and quality technician. Because of above-mentioned reasons it become vital important to select an appropriate project manager and a project supervisor who can management the project effectively when planning and implementing project. In a word, effective management of project turns to be key factor to ERP implementation for small and medium-sized enterprises.Based on project management theory and the ERP project implementation of Tengfei Company, the dissertation provided valuable and useful suggestions and supports for the successful implementation of ERP by means of scope and time management of the project. Through researches and analysis of project management methods in the procedure of project implementation, the useful experiences were summarized and the problems were discovered. The dissertation could provide the practitioner of ERP with valuable experiences and references, and could also be used as a sample for the similar project implementation.
