Project Management Applications To Research&Development Of Mobile Terminals

Research purpose:With the rapid growth of mobile internet, hand-held mobile terminal increases explosively. Meanwhile, IT Product development capabilities become the basic requirement of all IT companies. Considering project time and cost, project management of product R&D is not implemented well in most companies. This researching based on E-book project management this, illustrates and analyzes project management methodology of handing mobile terminal, making some suggestions of improvement.Research methods:This researching use E-book R&D project as a case study, summarizes project management methodology of hand-held mobile terminal by information collection of related documents, interviews, and comparative analysis of theory and practice. Research findings:This researching explains the effect on project scope, time and quality management methods in the R&D project of hand-held mobile terminal through. For project scope management, it illustrates how to manage and control requirement changes during project execution, related management process and responsibilities division; For project time management, it declares how to set up project schedule, considering the importance in time control of business negotiation and testing; For project quality management, it specifies how to manage quality of project deliveries through standard development, control methods and stage monitoring.Practical implications:Currently in China, mobile internet industry has entered a new stage. With the increase of enriched internet information and diversified device, R&D of hand-held mobile terminal spreads widely. The significance of this researching is to share project management experience in E-book R&D project, based on the analysis of related methodology and tools, providing reference for the R&D project management of handing mobile terminals in the future.Research limited:This researching mainly focuses on the investigation and analysis of project management, including scope management, time management and quality management, there is no in-depth investigation in other respects. With the rapid growth of IT technology, there is restriction noticed in the technical solutions, performance parameters and data information applied in this researching, and this may not be instructive to the practice.
