Timmons Model Of Entrepreneurial Risk Management Study

Now more and more people start their own business, which greatly promotes national economic growth and employment. But risks of all sorts are threatening the pioneering enterprise's existence and development. Risk management is becoming an important problem to which the enterprise should pay attention.Based on the Timmons model of the entrepreneurial process, research is conducted on entrepreneurial risk management. The theory of entrepreneurship and risk management are applied, combining qualitative and quantitative analysis, using an empirical case study.The first part describes the significance of the research on entrepreneurial risk management, summarizes today's relative research status and explains the research methods and ideas of this thesis. The second part describes the meaning of entrepreneurship and introduces some theory of entrepreneurship; the author also introduces the Timmons model of the entrepreneurial process, describing it in detail in order to prepare for the following research, and discusses general entrepreneurial risk-management knowledge. The author explains the general theory of entrepreneurial risk identification, evaluation and treatment. The third part based on the detailed study of entrepreneurship risk management using the Timmons model. In order to make the Timmons model's core driver the fundamental point, the author analyzes the cause of entrepreneurial risk, systemically identifies entrepreneurial risk factors, designs the index system of entrepreneurial risk evaluation, evaluates entrepreneurial risk by applying the method of AHP, and discusses some effective methods of entrepreneurial risk-management. In the forth part, the author develops an empirical study, using the company AsiaInfo as a study case. The author wants to explain the research on entrepreneurial risk management from a practical perspective. The final part sums-up the whole of the research and recommends some prospects for future research.
