Government Collaborative Research, Regional Economic Integration In Yangtze River Delta

The Yangtze River Delta, one of the most vigorous regions, plays a strategic role in China. The regional economic integration of Yangtze River Delta, is not only inherent request and inexorable trend of the economic development, but also the demand to accelerate the development of China and to improve the international competitiveness. The development of regional economic integration needs inter-government cooperation, whereas it's hard to cooperate between governments. So the study of inter-government cooperation in the regional economic integration of Yangtze River Delta is of great significance.There are many literatures studying the inter-government cooperation, however studies on inter-government cooperation in the regional economic integration of Yangtze River Delta are limited. This paper will try to analyze the subject from four aspects, that are administrative authority, economic interest, laws and regulations, assessment of performance, then to find out the way to accelerate the regional economic integration of Yangtze River Delta. This paper includes six chapters.ChapterⅠ: Introductory part, explaining the background, value, framework, methods and deficiency of the study.ChapterⅡ: The theory of regional economic integration and inter-government cooperation. It emphasizes the role of inter-government cooperation in the regional economic integration. And it analyzes administrative authority, economic interest, laws and regulations, assessment of performance, which are the four factors affecting behavior of government.ChapterⅢ: Analyzing the role that inter-government cooperation plays in the regional economic integration of Yangtze River Delta, and finds out the problems existing in inter-government cooperation.ChapterⅣ: Studying the root of problems existing in inter-government cooperation. The reasons are the exist of administrative authority, the conflict of economic interest, the deficiency in the laws and regulations, the imperfection in the assessment of performance.ChapterⅤ: The construction of the mechanism of inter-government cooperation in the process of the economic integration of Yangtze River Delta.ChapterⅥ: The methods for governments in Yangtze River Delta to cooperate. It concludes four ways, establishing organizations to coordinate, expanding and balancing the economic interest, improving the laws and regulations, building the assessment system of performance.The study has some deficiency in the practice and the solutions themselves. There is enormous space for me to develop myself. I hope experts will give me some criticisms and suggestions to improve my ability in the future study.
