Agricultural Tourism Destination For Residents' Satisfaction And Its Impact Study

Agri-tourism is the important form of tourism and the important approach to solve the problem of "agriculture,village,farmer". In order to promote development of Agri-tourism healthly and persistently,we should pay attention to study of resident satisfaction, hower traditionally Agri-tourism study only emphasis on satisfaction of tourists,but we should see that the local resident is will detect these impacts foremost. The residents' perception of the impact and resident satisfaction will then affect their attitude to the travelers and to the development of local tourism which will further affect the development and construction of local community or scenic area and the local government and tourism developers' decision and attitude to the tourism development. Therefore, the research on the residents' perception and resident satisfaction to tourism impact is the precondition of developing Agri-tourism,the foundation of planning Agri-tourism,the means of initiating the society to pay attention to the disadvantaged group,and also the important guarantee for obtaining the win-win result between village construction and tourism development.The dissertation comprises of six chapters: the first chapter reviews the research backgrounds and its significances, the research contents and methods and the research progress of Agri-tourism and satisfaction. The second chapter gives conceptions to agritourism site and resident satisfaction and any other relative terms, undertakes research of basic theories. The third chapter summarizes and analyzes the relative factor which influences resident satisfaction, on a basis of relative study, designs resident satisfaction index system and resident satisfaction model. The fourth chapter based on collecting data questionnaire survey, analyzes in detail perception and satisfaction of resident to tourism impact in Jiangxinzhou, and analyzes difference between them from the perspective of different demography character. The fifth chapter put forward some suggestions to improve resident satisfaction based on the analysis on the perception and resident satisfaction, and to benefit the development of local Agri-tourism from the perspective of resident The last chapter undergoes summary and discussion of the paper's content and advanced the direction of future research.Studies show that residents' perception certainly affect resident satisfaction, meanwhile the different degrees of satisfaction to the tourism development will promote or counteract Agri-tourism.so it is one of key factors to regulate the residents' perception to tourism impact availably and to improve resident satisfaction which can improve agritourism development continually. The thesis states that improving resident satisfaction, not only raise the level of knowledge of local residents and understanding of the tourism industry, strengthen the residents to participate in the decision-making and tourism development, raise the economic benefits and social welfare of residents, but also clear responsibility of other stakeholders (such as government, tourists, tourism enterprises) in Agri-tourism. Results of study from as the most critical stakeholders of Agri-tourism - the perspective of the residents for stimulating the development of Agri-tourism of Jiangxinzhou provide some recommendations, meanlile provide a reference for study and comparison for the development of Other Agri-tourism destinations...
