China's Aviation Manufacturing Subcontract Production Model Discussed

Based on summarizing the development experience of international subcontracting production, the article describes the theory of subcontracting production and the evolution of development mode of China's aviation industry by combining the foreign cooperation experiences of more than 20 years for several engine manufacturers directly under Power System of AVIC I, i.e., the subcontracting form developing from zero to important business in the industry, from the low-level mode of the enterprises that process raw materials on clients' demands, assemble parts for the clients and process according to the clients' samples to the current mode of strategic partnership and risk share partners, which is in favor of developing new market and realizing good economic benefits for the enterprise itself and the corporation, it explores the possibility of future development mode of internationalizing production cooperation for aviation manufacturing industry of China. In order to realize the strategic restructuring of "market-oriented reform, specialized integration, capitalized operation, internationalized deploitation and industrialized development" for engine manufacturing industry, and achieve the goal of "three approximate equal developments" , i.e., for both military and civil products, both domestic and foreign products as well as both manufacturing and service industries, the article insists that we must develop subcontracting production into a strategic industry, keep pace with international aviation industry, and find out a new cooperation mode suitable for China aero-engine industry in the international aviation manufacturing industry. It is of far-reaching strategic significance for our country to keep close pace with world top-class aviation manufacturing technology, to promote the cooperation of aviation manufacturing industry between China and the world and to push the development and research of big aircraft project through research of the subcontract production mode and evolution for aero-engine manufacturing in China. What is new in the article is, instead of only discussion of one mode of international cooperation, it deeply investigates and studies the development trend of international value supply chain by breaking through the subcontracting production development of aviation manufacturing industry home and broad, especially lack of researching international cooperation in this field, based on the condition of long-term protective policy of industry monopolization in aviation manufacturing industry. Meanwhile, it analyzes the future international division development of subcontracting production in aviation manufacturing industry and the multiple cooperation modes by comprehensively applying the theories of international trade, strategic alliance cooperation and value supply chain integration.
