Material Flow-based Approach To The Development Of Recycling Economy In Shandong Province

Recycle economy is recognized as the ideal method to change the high consumption growth model, which characterized by "mass production-mass consumption-mass emission". Recycle economy is one of the main research projects in China in recent years. A number of developing countries use material flow analysis to measure the development level of recycle economy, resource saving and environment. They have accumulated abundant of practical experience and theoretical basis. And they provide important reference for us to analysis of the development of Shandong Province recycle economy and construct the ecological province. In accordance with the guidance of the Eurostate material flow analysis, this article takes the province of Shandong as the target and takes advantage of Shandong Province official Statistics data to analysis the development of recycle economy in Shandong Province from 2000 to 2006.Based on expounding MFA and its indicators, this paper makes use of nine indicators. After analysis, we can make a conclusion that: 1) The growth of Shandong economy is characterized by typical extensive growth. From 2000 to 2006, the total requirement, domestic material consumption, total output have shown an increasing trend. 2)The current economic development in Shandong Province mainly depend on out resources, less export, more import; domestic non-renewable resource can't provide enough resource to the local economic development. It needs to import large quantity of mineral resources, at the meantime produces a large amount of pollutants, increase the pressure on environment. 3) With the increasing consumption of fossil resource, the emission of carbon dioxide and other emissions also increased. Based on these conclusions, forward the corresponding Countermeasures to the development of Shandong Province recycle economy, such as enhancing the comprehensive utilization of resources, carrying out water conservation, insisting on energy-saving, implementing the scientific concept of development and so on.
