In these years, the theory of Business Process Reengineering(BPR) is being expanded and optimized.Meanwhile, the implementation of BPR is always companied with both successes and failures.Researches found that one important reason resulted in the failure of BPR is the organizational adoption towards the changes. The organizational adoption will affect the behavioral resistance and result in the failure of the BPR project. So doing the research to find out the significant factors affecting organizational adoption towards BPR project will has significant practical value. This research is based on organizational behavior, and discusses the factors influencing BPR adoption on its planning stage.Consolidated by T-O-E (Technology-Organization-Environment) theory and the framework proposed by Wejnert, integrating 4 characteristics of BPR in planning stage set up a framework for BPR adoption—(Project-Organization-Environment).The framework contains factors of 3 aspects:characteristics of project(project radicalness, process structuredness, customer focus and the potential for IT enablement);Organizational Factors(resource readiness and senior management support);Environment Factors (industry pressure and government support). Then by collecting the data from the survey, the dissertation brings out the significant factors affecting BPR adoptin through descriptive statistical analysis. And from correlate and regression analysis, the dissertation verifies the relationship model of the BPR adoption intention and the factors of organizational adoption. The research is supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (No.70572027).As the research is still at the dawning stage, research about BPR adoption has just started up in China,so implications in this dissertation are noteworthy for both researchers and practitioners.
