Landless Peasants Employment Security

With the rapid development of industrialization and urbanization, the demand of non-agricultural land is continuously increasing, a mass of agricultural land has been expropriated which leads to more and more farmers lost their land. For this new disadvantaged group, most of the people are not well-educated and lacking the professional labor skills & abilities to survive in the market competition. Once they lost the land which not only means the main economic income sources but also the most basic life security. The problem of employment security absence occurs in varying degrees both in the developed East provinces and the under-developed West provinces in China. How to make the land-lost farmers' achieve long-term life security and perfect the employment security system for them has become a most important subject for government and theoretical circles.Based on the employment investigation of the land-lost farmers in Chang'an district, Xi'an City, compared with the ongoing employment securities of provinces in the middle areas of China, and combined the researches from home and abroad, this article tries to analyze the reasons of employment security absence for land-lost farmers, puts forward some response measures and emphasizes the responsibility & policy tendency in future of Chinese government at the same time.
