Globalization has been the trend for world economy. Transnational management has been put into practice. Under the customer oriented market, transnational corporations have to face the challenges from the environment factors and innovation requirement. Fierce competitions require transnational corporations to adjust position strategy, coordination and control measures dynamically. So they could gain competitive advantages and be the final survivors of the market.As the leader of auto-components market, Delphi began its multinational operations since GM era. After the separation from GM, Delphi got the chance to satisfy a wider market than before, and also had to face the challenges from more competitors. It is meaningful to research position strategy, coordination and control measures of Delphi and its Chinese subsidiary.The article combined the theories with Delphi's practice, analyzed the whole process of transnational corporations' positioning, coordinating and controlling. The results are summarized as follows.Firstly, it summarized the theories about the position, coordination and control of oversea subsidiary, tried to find out the right theory for the research.Secondly, base on integration-localization structure, it analyzed the factors including environment, headquarter and subsidiary which could impact the positioning strategy. It analyzed Delphi's positioning mechanism and changesThirdly, it analyzed the whole process that Delphi integrated the resource and activities of oversea subsidiaries to achieve the global strategic target through coordinating and controlling mechanism.Fourthly, according to the research result, it tried to find out some practicable theories and suggestions for Chinese MNCs to implement oversea expansion strategy and effective holding company management.The article analyzed problems through combining theories with practice. The result is generally useful. Chinese MNCs could learn how to adjust the position, coordination and control strategy for oversea subsidiaries. It also could help them to find the right way to develop their oversea expansion strategy and give them some meaningful advices.
