Due to the continuous demand change from the market and new technology comes up so quickly, the R&D cooperation has become the developing strategy for many companies. The Heating Ventilating and Air Conditioning (hereafter called HVAC) industry in China begin to boom from 1980s. The technology development becomes more and more important due to situation of Chinese HVAC industry in the world. More and more enterprises begin the R&D cooperation and many kinds of modes are used at R&D cooperation. During the project management in current HAVC industry for R&D cooperation, there are many modes, but how to select R&D cooperation mode is the first question during the project management. Combing with the characteristics of HVAC industry, this paper will try to give the suitable R&D cooperation mode, and hope it will be valued for HAVC industry.So the study route of this paper will be based on the study result from pervious experts, also combining with the actual situation of R&D cooperation in HVAC industry, and then analysis the influences factors for R&D cooperation. The LOGIT model will be applied based on the examples from HVAC industry and then the conclusion will be taken out.Thus the first part of this paper will comment the background of HVAC industry and also comment the previous and current study result, then give the study method and route of this paper. The second part of this paper will give the R&D cooperative modes. The R&D cooperation mode can be divided as two types according the share status. One is Joint Venture Mode, another one is covenant R&D cooperation mode. The activities of R&D out sourcing and COD are also the activities of covenant R&D cooperation mode. The third part of this paper list out the influence factors of R&D cooperation mode. And try to analysis the single influence factor and its result. The forth part use LOGIT method to analysis the optimized mode for HVAC industry. There are totally 105 examples which come from 19 companies. The fifth part gives the conclusion and the study direction in the future.Based on the conclusion from LOGIT analysis, the suitable evaluation mode is given for HVAC industry, meanwhile, the marked influence factors are listed which includes the nationality of cooperative parties, the relationship between the cooperative parties, the R&D study situation and the motivation for this R&D cooperation. The innovation for this paper is that the suitable mode is given based on the HVAC examples. Finally the study direction is given, includes the range of study objects and more examples. It will be helpful for more accurate study result and it can give reference direction for HVAC companies when need to have mode selection. |
