Jinan City Spatial Structure And Urban Transport System Interaction

With the development of urbanization in China, many big cities develop very fast and make remarkable achievements. However, a lot of problems appeared in the process of urban expansion, in particular, the inconsonant development of urban spatial structure and urban transport system troubles many big cities. How to solve the coordination between the two has become a research hotspot in recent years. This paper analyses the interaction between the two taking Jinan as a case.The urban spatial structure and the urban traffic system interact on each other. The change of the urban spatial structure leads to traffic demand and the change of traffic attraction characteristics, thus changes the spatial distribution of urban traffic, transit network layout and improve the mode of transportation, and ulteriorly changes the urban road traffic system. The urban traffic by changing accessibility of the space affects the urban land use pattern, thereby affects the urban functional structure until the city changes in the urban spatial structure. The urban traffic system often has a decisive impact on the urban spatial structure. They are a pair entity of both oppose and the contradictory.This paper, by exploring the interactive effects between the urban spatial structure and the urban traffic system, is able to reveal the particular relationship between them and contributes to the integrity and the compatibility of the related theories construction, and inserts new content. Based on an empirical study on the basis of Jinan, the paper which can provide the solution for the traffic problem in Jinan and provide reference for the formulation of traffic policy and urban planning, analyses the interaction between the urban spatial structure and the urban traffic system, and studies the related strategies which make them intercoordinate.This article has taken the next two methods: First, the static research and the dynamic research unify method. The study on the relationship of the urban traffic and urban spatial structure is not limited to a certain point in time, and is conducted from time lapse's angle. Second, the theoretical research and the empirical analysis unify method. This article makes a more comprehensive discussion on the urban traffic system and the urban spatial structure taking Jinan as the case, and summarizes the evolution course of the urban spatial structure and the urban traffic, analyzes the interaction between the urban spatial structure and the urban traffic, proposes some measures which coordinates them. The empirical study contains the theoretical research, which promotes the theory development and serves the practice.
