Manufacturing-based Interactive The Chengdu Producer Services, Analysis And Empirical Research

The experience of international economic development has shown that prosperous service industry has become an important indicator of the country's economy modernization level. The remark phenomenon in service industry development is the rapid growth of producer services. With the specialization of production technology and the increasingly detailed division of labor in society, for the integration of resources, expertise, reduce costs, improve efficiency and risk sharing, more and more enterprises will be provided by external service activities instead of internal service activities. In main developed nations, producer services are 50% above in total service industry, become the neglected new-born power in international economic development. Chengdu, as the regional economic center city of China's central and western region now, whose development of the service industry has entered a critical period of transformation and upgrading. To promote the industrialization process forward to the advanced stage, even into the era of service economy, we must strongly promote the development of producer services.In this paper, theoretical and empirical researches are as the starting point. Based on the interactive relationship between the producer services and manufacturing industries, producer services in Chengdu are studied through the qualitative and quantitative research methods. When analyzing the development of producer services and comparing Chengdu and the domestic and foreign cities, we mainly use qualitative analysis. In this part, comparative analysis is the primary method. The uses of the theory are: the theory of industrial structure, industrial agglomeration theory, interaction theory and so on. When analyzing the role that producer services promote economic growth and the interactive relationship between the producer services and manufacturing industries, we mainly use quantitative analysis. Statistical analysis, such as regression analysis method and the Granger causality test, is the primary method.Firstly, the related theories of producer services and the relationship between producer services and manufacturing are introduced in this paper. Secondly, the status of the development process of the producer services in Chengdu are analyzed and summarized, the relationship between producer services and manufacturing industries are also analyzed. Thirdly, some meaningful conclusions are draw by the empirical research: the role of the producer services in promoting economic growth and the development of the manufacturing of Chengdu is validated; the interactive relationship between the producer services and manufacturing industries is validated too. Finally, we learn the experience of developed countries. With the beneficial conclusions from both comparative analysis and empirical research and the reality of Chengdu, some advices on the path choice and policy recommendations of how to promote the rapid growth of Chengdu producer services are given.
