| Currently, the corporate social responsibility (CSR) movement springs up in the whole world. Due to the introduction of SA8000(international standards of corporate social responsibility) for domestic enterprises, and the lack of corporate social responsibility, it is the high time that the entire society should pay attention to CSR, and this kind of voice is growing louder and louder. On the one hand, private firms are important forces to promote China's national economic development; however, on the other hand, it is a common phenomenon that there is a lack of awareness to commit their corporate social responsibility. In the long term, it is not conducive to the healthy development of private firms, as well as the construction of a harmonious society in China. As a result, it is practically significant to research the factors of CSR, and to strengthen awareness of CSR to private firms and promote its improvement.This paper first reviews the extant CSR research at home and abroad. Referring to the CSR measurement method in the relevant articles, we employ factor analysis to calculate indices of CSR from four aspects, the responsibility for the staff, the responsibility for the investor, the responsibility for public welfare and environmental responsibility. All the above is based on the private enterprise survey data in 2006Secondly, we precede correlation analysis and multiple linear regression analysis to research the impact of the economic status, social status and political status of private entrepreneurs on the enterprise CSR. Through the empirical research, we get the conclusion that the economic status, social status and political status of private entrepreneurs are positive related to the CSR, and the conclusions are discussed.Finally, according to the result of empirical studies, and considering our actual situation of CSR, this paper gives some suggestions about CSR building from the aspects of three entities, government, non-governmental organizations and enterprise. |
