With deepening economic globalization,the increasingly fierce market competitio n,the environment the enterprises face to the characteristics of complexity,diversity, uncertainty.In response to such a dynamic external environment,many enterprises both at home and abroad begin to introduce virtual team of this new organizational structure.The virtual team is composed of members who span the space boundaries,time boundaries, organizational boundaries,and use modern information technology to complete the work mission in close collaboration.This new organizational form is able to meet demand of globalization,inter-organizational collaboration,and effective allocation of resources. Therefore,at present the virtual team has arises academia and the business community's concern.In the era of knowledge economy,knowledge is the most important strategic resource which can ensure that organizations obtain and maintain long-term competitive advantages,for the case of virtual team,sharing knowledge is without doubt the core of the organization management.Based on the point,this paper introduces the social network and discusses the problem of knowledge sharing in the virtual team in a new perspective in order to expand deeply its theoretical basis.This paper first reviews the relevant theoretical basis,including the related concept and characteristics on virtual team,social network and knowledge sharing;second,the inner connection among them has been analysed and lay the foundation for the introduction of social network.The specific contents include construction of virtual team model based on social network, analysis of knowledge -sharing motive among network members,the discussion on factors of knowledge-sharing barriers and the model of knowledge-sharing.The influencing factors on knowledge -sharing in virtual team embedded in social networks are analysed comprehensivly and systematically respectively from network node dimension,network structure dimension,network connection strength,network relation dimension and network environment dimension.Finally,according to the influencing factors,knowledge-sharing improvement strategy is put forward from network structure,network environment,network connection and network learning in virtual team.
