Analysis Of China's Telecom Operators, International Investment Strategies

5-year protection period lasted till 2007 after China gain membership of the WTO accession. According to the commitments, the government of China improves equity capital ratio of foreign investment or joint venture of the basic telecom operators to 49%. This shows that our country's telecommunications industry in a large part has integration into the international telecommunications market, while foreign enterprises infiltrate into the Chinese telecommunications industry through equity participation and technical cooperation. Facing trend of world fusion after the domestic telecommunication industry recombination, internationalization challenges and pressure will also be more enormous.On the other hand, international financial crisis provides a rare opportunity for telecom operators to launch internationalization strategy. Although the Chinese telecommunication enterprise already did a lot of positive effort and practice, but compared with the global leading telecom operators, generally, we are still in the preliminary stages of internationalization. The proportion of international business is much smaller than international leading operators. So, in early 2009, The State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council issued strict control invested to oversea of the central authority enterprises in the NOTICE. Then, the prudent investment does not Non-investment, but should be reasoned look on the opportunities and challenges with financial crisis, while being carefully to implement internationalization strategy.This paper is divided into six chapters. Chapter I is Introduction, mainly to raise questions, and make definite research the background and objectives. At the same time, introduce relevant internationalization theories at home and abroad. And the methods and techniques of the line of the paper;Chapter II expound the necessity of the internationalization strategy of Chinese telecom operators, analyzed development status quo and tendency of Chinese telecom industry, and analyzed investment ability of China telecom operators, with the strengths and weaknesses of internationalization in China's telecom, etc. In Chapter III, analysis the impact of financial crisis to global telecommunication industry and China's telecom, explore the financial crisis brought about the opportunities and challenges for China's telecommunications industry.Chapter IV summing up the experiences and lessons of international operators, combine with financial crisis on the impact of the telecommunications industry, advanced internationalization strategic orientation, including the optimal opportunity and the target market, choice into-mode of internationalized and the path of the strategy. Finally, the risks identified under the influence of the financial crisis and the preventive measures are analyzed, and some related suggestions are proposed.Internationalization is the only way to realize "world-class telecommunications enterprise" for China's telecom industry. It is a long and complicated process.
