Lean Production (LP) is the methodology that leads to improve production and operation efficiency. For Yangzhou Diesel Company (YDC), the main task of advancing total production capability is how to apply LP method to improve layout, optimize the technological line and eliminate waste. The purpose of this article is to design effective LP system plan for YDC and solve effective problems during production and operation by introducing LP method and systematic Technical protocols.This article is to combine YDC actuality with prevailing LP method, and choose a special part - 4102 diesel assembly line - as an example, designe proper LP scheme in order to generating the real and effective driving force for LP implementation in depth in YDC by showing people the gap between YDC present statuses and improving result. There are many ways and tools to implement LP, such as procedure analysis, work study, worksite management, flexible manufacture, TPM and 6σetc.. Choosing some proper research methods is one of the key point in the article, and this article will be focus on procedure analysis, work study, worksite management as LP methods for the assembly line. The principle techniques used in former LP methods include workplace arrangement, process chart and analysis, flow process chart, operation analysis, "5s"management and Kanban management etc.. After the LP scheme is worked out, the article will be emphasis on the application of this scheme. The operating and effective problems of 4102 assembly line should be resolved, and the productivity should be improved by application of LP scheme.
