With the globalization of economy and the competition of market, the food and beverage business is being faced a new opportunity and great challenges. Therefore, it is impossible to meet the demands of the market only counting upon the enterprise itself and its resources, which calls for the reform of the traditional management mode and methods to adjust to the requirements of the market. Supply Chain Management essentially is a new business process management model for the whole business flow as a new concept of management science. The food and beverage business, under the supply chain management environment, should optimize the external resources and integrate the internal ones and break through the traditional management mode which solely focuses on partial optimization to satisfy the demands of the ever changing market.Under the supply chain management environment it is necessary for the food and beverage businesses to carry out purchasing logistics management to improve market competition. This thesis, taking L Enterprise for example, makes an analysis to the purchasing logistics structure, the procedure, the management of providers, the purchasing management mode, the current stock condition and the information system, by which some disadvantages have been found out and then improvement strategies are provided with the purpose of improving the efficiency of the enterprise and achieving its persistent competitive strength. Meanwhile, L's JIT purchasing logistics and VMI stock management has been designed and a strategic idea to establish cooperation with its partners has been offered. Through perfecting the purchasing logistics information system, the enterprise has been given a support of technology to choose its own way of managing purchase and controlling stock. The findings of the research will be of great help for those middle- and small-sized enterprises to manage their purchases, stocks and providers.
