With the combination between Shanghai Auto Industry Group (SAIG) and Nanjing Auto Group, the biggest corporation stared its sail. In the whole Shanghai auto industry, SAIG occupies the biggest part, almost representing the whole auto industry in Shanghai. With the second-class auto corporations and accessory makers, the auto industry of Shanghai seemed strong and competitive at first look. However, even adding up the yield of Nanjing Auto Group, the whole yield of Shanghai auto industry was less than 2 million cars in 2008. But, in 2002, some big international auto groups exceeded the number already. Now, the whole output of Shanghai auto industry is even less than some second-class auto groups, for example, Honda(Japan) and Peugeot Citroen(France). In the future, Shanghai auto industry will take part in competition not only in the country, but also in the international market. This paper will focus on the future strategies of Shanghai Auto Industry from the scale economy view, helping Shanghai Auto Industry being more competitive and powerful. On the base of China auto industry analyst, we can hold the whole picture and know the problem of China auto industry. And then, the analyst of Shanghai auto industry can offer the background of it. Some strategies in the paper will take effect in the future market competition. Building a human resource warehouse can meet the need of creativity. Multi-factory can lower the production cost. Industrial clusters can sharply strengthen the efficient of Shanghai auto industry. With these powerful strategies, we believe Shanghai auto industry will make a big progress in the future.
