Dalian Port Grain Logistics Development Trend Analysis And Implementation Strategy

Grain logistics is the entity motion during the procedure consists of grain producing, grain purchasing, grain storage, grain transportation, grain processing, grain sale, and all the value-added activities. Port is the hinge of modern transportation, and is of the importance to develop the modern logistics industry. As the flagship of international shipping centers in Northeast Asia, Dalian port should play a more important part in modern logistics industry, especially in the grain logistics industry.Considering the above-mentioned background, this thesis analyzes the policy environment, interior environment and external environment of developing grain logistics in Dalian Port. The analysis is performed based on the theory of developing modern port logistics, using strategy, planning, operation theory and other correlative theories. Paying special attention to the country economic development and the revitalization of northeast old industrial base, current situation of grain logistics in Dalian Port is methodized. Considering the present service situation of the grain logistics in Dalian Port, this thesis underlies developing environment analysis and applies SWOT model to analyze the advantages, disadvantages, chances and challenges. Besides, the author predicts the throughput capacity and the development trend of the grain logistics in Dalian Port in the future 5 years using the non-linear combined prediction method based on BP network. At last, the reasonable strategy of implementing the grain logistics in Dalian Port is proposed.
