At present, promoting regional economic integration has become an important aspect of economic development. In China, the regional economic integration is often expressed as to break the boundary of administrative area, to achieve cross-regional coordinated development. In regional economic integration process, the administrative boundary has important implications because of the local governments to pursue the interests of administrative boundary to maximize motivation. In this case, the administrative boundary often becomes the main obstacles to narrow the differences in the level of regional growth and achieve coordinated development.Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei as the core part of Circling Bo Sea Metropolitan has become a new economic growth pole. Comparing with the economy of Pearl River Delta and the Yangtze River Delta, the process of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei regional economic integration has lagged far behind, there are less resources sharing, complementary advantages and positive interaction in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei. So it is significant to accelerate the process of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei regional economic integration for The north and all over the country. In this paper, using cointegration analysis and Granger causality test according to GDP, analyzing the process of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei regional economic integration. It shows that the process of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei regional economic integration is deepening. Through Barro regression and regional convergence to analyze boundary effect and space-time evolvement. The result shows that there is obvious and increasing boundary effect among Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei, although there is the trend of regional integration. This means the boundary of administrative area is still one of obstacles in the process of regional economic integration. Finally, industrial structure duplication analysis in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region. The result shows that the main leading specialized industries are identical. Some industries which do not have the specialization are also occupy a large proportion. The paper proposes policies and suggestions on the promotion of regional economic integration in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region.
