On The Construction Of Low-carbon Tourism Attractions

After the summit conference on climate held in Copenhagen on 7th 12,2009,the topic low carbon economy is gradually becoming popular and being paid close attention all over the world, the environmental issue is put onto the table again. Practically, the development of the tourism is closely related to environment. As the tourism develops,lots of environmental problems also emerge, such as the destroy to the local nature and biological system, air pollution, rubbish pollution,wasted water drain, which makes the tourism becomes the 3-highs——high discharging,high pollution, high consume industry from the traditional smoke-free one. But seen from the fundamental resources, its nature and character and structure, the tourism industry has a clear advantage on low carbon discharge. And the tourist attractions, as the major parts of tourism and motivators of the tourists, not only have the advantage of developing low-carbon tourism and economy, but also would be the forerunner. But as far as the research on the low-carbon tourism is concerned, it is still young, and most of the researches only remain on the general frame-building, the guiding thoughts, and the developing guidelines, never mention about the research on low carbon tourism attractions, thus the improvement and reconstruction are becoming imperative.At the beginning of the paper, the author sums up the definition of low carbon tourism by collecting, reading, organizing and analyzing the relative research materials on low carbon economy, green tourism, Ecotourism, and low carbon tourism and make a distinction about these conceptions, brings up his opinion, which is low carbon tourism will be a must choice in the future.
