With the abnormality of global climate change in recent years, the problem of climate change had caused more and more attention to public in today’s society, and the development of research for climate change have had a long breakthrough. In popularly, most of results shown that greenhouse gas such as carbon dioxide was the major cause to lead the imbalance of global climate mechanism, while human activities was the first factor for making the increase of global carbon dioxide emissions. Especially science Industrial Revolution, human developed blindly and discharge pollutants endless which had a unimaginable influence for global climate mechanism. As the largest industry, covered area of tourism throughout the whole world, have relation with each of other industry, and the tourist can be found everywhere, and tourism activities have been the most frequent human activities. Now, the world is in the period of peaceful development, developing economic have been the major duty for every countries. With the increase of standard of living and the aggravation of working pressure, tourism has been the more important style for ease. While such frequent tourism activities caused to improve the negative impact on global climate change. Transport is the essential factor for tourist’s travel, and the energy consumption of tourism transport is the largest in all tourism sections, whose carbon dioxide emissions occupy75%in the whole tourism. So it’s more important for the research of tourism carbon emissions to recognize the situation of carbon emission for tourism transport. In China, such research is more important.Learning from the results at home and abroad, through the estimation of tourism transport carbon emission in China, the situation for carbon emissions with time change and spatial distribution were analyzed, and results shown that:(1) There have been well development trend for tourism transport in China, which was active in tourism activities. While there have been different characters for each tourism transport, which were expressed as highway and aviation had a high increase which shown significant energy. Even though railway tourism transport increased continued, the trend decreased, and waterway tourism transport flinched. With the long time, the effect of different tourism transport in tourist’s transportation changed. The highway tourism transport occupied the major position, the position of railway was challenged, the position of aviation was improved, and waterway tourism transport was submitted by others.(2) In recently30years, carbon emission of tourism transport had the trend of increasing, it have reached70.9Mt CO2. Analyzed the carbon emissions of different tourism transport, it could be found that emissions of railway, highway and aviation also had the increasing trend, while the waterway decreased year by year. Saw from the total trend, it was the highest for carbon emissions of highway and aviation, then was railway tourism transport, while waterway was the least. And when it was in2005, the carbon emissions of aviation had exceeded highway which was in the highest position, and have been the section which had the highest carbon emissions in tourism transport. Saw from the construction of carbon emissions, proportion of railway and waterway decreased, and keep stable at last. Proportion of highway and aviation tourism transport increased, while proportion of highway tended to stable, proportion of aviation had a increasing tend. The carbon emissions of aviation tourism transport would be the major source for tourism transport carbon emissions in the future.(3) Analyzing the tourism transport carbon emissions for different provinces in Mainland, it could be found that tourism transport had more important effects, and would have more carbon emissions when the area had developed economics or developed tourism. Provinces whose carbon emissions for railway tourism transport were high majorly distributed in the area that had compressed railway network. Provinces that had high carbon emissions for highway tourism transport were in the east and middle areas whose highway network was compressed. For waterway tourism transport, it majorly distributed in south area especially in Yangtze River Basin for these areas had rich precipitation and compressed river network. Provinces who had high carbon emissions for aviation tourism transport had developed economics, advanced technology and close external links.(4) Carbon emission for tourism transport was caused by tourist activities. Using the data of carbon emissions and tourist, the relation between each other was analyzed. There was a well positive correlation, the carbon emissions of tourism transport increased while tourist increased. There would be a close connection with each other.Though the analysis and research of temporal and spatial variation trend for tourism transport carbon emissions in China, the research content for tourism carbon emission was refined further. Then, some references for being sure the target of mitigation in tourism transport were provided. At last, there would be some references for the built of low-carbon tourism and research of carbon emission of other sections in tourism.
