The Selection Process Of Research, Based On Government Investment Projects

With the further development of both global economic integration and internationally gradual transference of industries, investment invitation, or project promotion, as an effective measure to a×peal to foreign capital a.d prolote economic growth, plays a more and more important role in the competition of international capital movements. Thus, governments are launching unprecedented campaigns against each other in order to invite invertment. This present thesis, from the perspe#tive of government staff in charge of investment invitation, analyzes every stage of the 3i4e selection process conducted by the potential investors, and with"Metro"project as a practical example, probes into the application of project area management, communication management and cost management to candidate sites screening, due investigation and negotiation respectively. The present research indicates that site selection process analysis (referred to as SSPA) can not only help the government investment invitation staff learn the driving factors and requirements of a project, greatly increase the pertinence and success rate of project promotion, reduce the investment invitation cost, improve the degree of the investor's satisfaction, and finally avoid the drawbacks brought by the traditional measures.This thesis introduces the related theories of investment invitation and project management, probes into the government-investment-invitation-project-based SSPA methods, and puts forward the definition, content, functions and application of SSPA methods. As to the application of SSPA, the three stages including site screening, due investigation and negotiation are expounded in Chapter Three. In Chapter Four, the case of Metro is taken as a practical example to further illustrate the application of SSPA in government investment invitation.There have been few practical researches on SSP in China, especially on the application of SSPA to government's investment invitation. This present thesis is to make an original research into the analysis of SSPA based on government's investment invitation, with an aim to provide a new and effective measure for the government in investment invitation.
