With China's further opening to the outside world,great reform and rapid increase of social economy. The use of land especially of farmland for construction Purposes have been inevitably increasing and the conflict between humans and farmland will become more and more intense. This has aroused worldwide concern about food supply in China.As an important land use type,cultivated land is the sources of human's food and clothes and it is also the important material foundation for human's survival and development. Cultivated land use change and protection have become the important components of land-use/land-cover change. Strengthening the research of cultivated land use change and analyzing the driving factors which affect changes of cultivated land use are of great benefit to use the arable land reasonably. Meanwhile these will ensure the regional food security and help advance the development of a harmonious society.This paper chose an area in the Southwest of China-Dehong as the research object,This paper carries out a dynamic study on the cultivated land use change and driving forces in Dehong City during the period of 1997-2005,based on the data of detailed land-use and the social-economic statistics from1997to2005.This paper includes these parts:Partone1 includes the background of the article ,the significance of study,study process about the subject and the content of this paper.Part 2 introduces the region natural conditions and social-economic statistics.Part3 analyzes the farmland dynamic change for Dehong,including the quantity change and the spatial variation characteristic of farmland.Part 4 analyzed the driver type,mode of action,intensity of dynamic change and quantitative analysis unifies on the basis of part 3.Part5 proposes protection farmland countermeasures.
