With the trend of acceleration in global economic integration and the continuous influx of foreign banks, the competition among banks is intensified increasingly.In Western developed countries, the development of intermediary business in commercial banks has a long history of more than one hundred years and the business showed the following three characteristics: a wide range of intermediate business scope and a variety of business, high growth rate and a higher proportion of total income, with advanced technologies and a high degree of technical service. The business has become one of the three main business of commercial banks, standing with assets and liabilities.From the overall situation of commercial banks in China, we find the fact of low operational efficiency, poorly structured business, over-reliance on deposit and loan interest income. Intermediate business development has just started with a serious shortage of market competition. Although the relevant law has been issued, intermediate business of commercial banks in China still developed slowly with many deficiencies. Therefore, to change the ideas, to vigorously develop intermediary business and to increase revenue appears especially important and urgent for ever-changing domestic commercial banks.This dissertation, mainly from the perspective of intermediate business bank, summarizes some differences and enlightenments through studying the intermediary business in different commercial banks and undertaking a comparative analysis of the specific situation. Meanwhile, combined with my own ten-year working experience in Chongqing Bank, the author analyzes the problems, points out the opportunities and concludes specific counter-measures for business development in Chongqing Bank...
