| In recent years,there have been the continuous rapid economic development and the deepening of financial reform in China,the internal and external situations faced by domestic commercial banks have undergone significant changes,featuring the concurrent adoptions of lenient and strict regulatory policies,the rapid development of financial technology,the profound changes in customer needs,the unprecedented market competition.In order to seek survival and development under the new situation,domestic commercial banks have embarked on business process reengineering.Bank KL is an urban commercial bank registered office in a northwestern province of China.In its existence for more than 10 years,its business has been developing rapidly,with its outlets gradually covering many provinces and cities.However,the counter business processes in the bank’s outlets have been slow to develop for various reasons,failing to keep pace with the times and no longer meeting the needs of Bank KL’s high-quality development in the future.This paper conducts an in-depth study on the counter business processes of Bank KL’s outlets.It firstly introduces the background and significance of the study and describes the research situation and results of experts and scholars in China and abroad on the theories related to business process reengineering.Secondly,through the study of the current situation of the counter business processes of Bank KL,the paper points out its problems in customer experience,risk prevention and control,operation cost,operation management,outlet marketing,and analyses the causes of the above problems.Subsequently,considering the theories related to business process reengineering,this paper proposes a solution for the counter business process reengineering in Bank KL’s outlets: The first is to reengineer the business process of the bank counter system;The second is to promote the intelligent transformation of Bank KL’s outlets;The third is to optimize the model of centralized business processing.Finally,this paper proposes four safeguarding measures for the implementation of counter business process reengineering in Bank KL’s outlets,involving the implementation organization,human resources,information technology,and incentive mechanism.It is hoped that the research and solutions mentioned in this paper can provide a reference for other commercial banks in China to carry out counter business process reengineering in their outlets,helping them to improve the operational effectiveness of their outlets and enhance their market competitiveness. |
