It is well known in many countries that industry clusters and urbanization have been the two key factors of regional economy development. With the advance of the Western Development Program and the establish of the Socialist Harmonious Society, The development of the western region of the country is facing the ever-changing domestic and international economic situation and new opportunities. In such background, it has become an important research task of how to improving the economic benefit of industry clusters as a kernel power impelling the rapid development of urbanization and how to promote urbanization to further enhance the level of industrial industry clusters as well as putting them into interactive development.As a new trend of industry development, industry clusters is a kind of industry space organizational form formed in order to create the competition advantage. It is influencing the competitiveness level of the area or city where it stays, thus having great importance to urbanization process. Urbanization, in turn, further escalation of the regional industrial structure and creates a more favorable basis for relying on. So it should be promote the simultaneous development of industrialization and urbanization with the agglomeration effect of industry clusters. This paper has analyzed how industrial cluster advances the urbanization through promoting the urban competitiveness, and has proposed some suggestions in fostering and developing industrial cluster to promote the urbanization. At the meantime, taking Guangxi for example, has summed up and concluded the interaction model of industrial cluster current development with urbanization and related recommendations.Urbanization and industrial clusters are the important step to the promotion of regional development and enhancing regional competitiveness. Urbanization and industrial clusters are mutually complementary and common development, Urbanization makes a large number of related enterprises concentrated in a certain area, so it expands the formation of the scale of facilities associated with industrial clusters and promotes the formation and development of industrial clusters. Industrial clusters accelerates the formation of the various elements of the pace of development which urbanization required and enhances the capacity to absorb rural surplus labor force, so that it can enhance the quality of the city's regional economy, thereby contributing to the health of the city of sustainable development.
