Chongqing Urban Architecture Evolution And Optimization

At the present stage, An area wants to get integrative development of areal economy , not only counting on these central cities with great economic capabilities, but also to build the rational urban system is the basic condition of developing areal economy. As the bridge of connecting city and contry, the towns play an important role on balance urban and rural development. Chongqing as the fist National co-ordinating urban and rural comprehensive reform area, facing the accelerated process of urbanization , how to break the regional gap and the gap between urban and rural problems as problems become the burning question. So to establish the reasonable urban system, make the different cities as freight stations and relay batons that promoting central cities location of productive forces to achieve balanced development between countries and regions, that is the important safeguard. This study is just from this perspective, by studying the structure of urban system in Chongqing city, the evolution of history, current situation and the problems, in order to lodge the precept to optimize the urban system.In this paper, combining the background of the development of Chongqing urban system , the three major structures in Chongqing urban system are been as a study. First of all, it comes from the related concepts and elementary theories of urban system, and the evolution of urban system in industrialized countries, analyze the evolution of Chongqing urban structure, characteristics and existing problems. Based on the combined impact of urban structure, optimize the layout and the proposed countermeasures. Thereinto, the thesis uses Primate City Index and Entropy to figure out city`s scale distribution in Chongqing; Then the thesis analyzes the function characteristics of urban system in Chongqing; and uses fractal dimensions to characterize spatial structure of urban system in Chongqing. At last, project the precept to optimize the urban system. This study will provides a reference for understanding the evolution of Chongqing urban structure characteristics and optimizing the future direction of providing, but there are also some shortcomings, due to the limited research level of the author and vision. Such as analysis of the data is not comprehensive, Chongqing and other parts of urban structure have not been parallel, lack of the experience of developed countrys; all of those need to be perfected in the further research.
