The Research Of On The Issue Of Urban System Development In Chongqing

Chongqing as the only municipality directly under the central government in southwest China, both big cities and large rural special situation.In a long period, theurban-rural integration andthe urbanizationwill be tackled as crucial issues in key working programs ofChongqing. As the first national comprehensive reform of urban and rural comprehensive reform pilot area, An important city of the national strategy of "The Belt and Road",Chongqing has a significant impact on the western region, and even the whole country,in the integration of urban and rural.However, in recent years, with the economy of China glides continuously, although the GDP growth rate in Chongqing is located in the forefront of the country, but the downward trend in the economy is obvious, the power of urbanization has weakened.The reasonable city system is beneficial to enhance the power of urbanization and overallurban-rural plan, is the guarantee of economic and social comprehensive development,also is the basis to promote the development of Chongqing as the central city in the western region and lead the development of the surrounding cities.From that perspective, this study based on the research of the Chongqing urban system at present and the analysis of the historical evolution process, finding out the current problems of Chongqing city system, combined with domestic and foreign relevant experience of the development of urban system, puts forward the reasonable Suggestions to Chongqing.The research content and conclusions of this paper mainly includes the following three aspects. First, based on the research results at home and abroad and the relevant theories of the urban system,combined with the general rule of urban system evolution, this paper propose the optimal size of cities, urban scale structure and functions of urban structure, urban spatial structure as a theoretical framework.Secondly, in the study of the optimal scale city by using the theory of urban minimum cost super city of Chongqing city were analyzed, and found the megalopolis of Chongqing city is close to the optimal theoretical value,urbanization is mainly in the surrounding counties over the next few years.Using the Primacy Index Theory and rank-size analysis the urban size structure,we find the urban system of Chongqing city is deficient, and the development of medium city is insufficient.Using Nelson’s statistical analysis and location entropy to study the urban function structure, we find the urban industrial isomorphism in Chongqingover the years.Using ArcGIS software to analyze urban spatial structure,we find the population mainly distribution in the west ofChongqing. Finally,based onrelevant development experience of Tokyo bay and the Yangtze river delta city system,this paper presents some countermeasuressuchascultivating large citiesandmedium-sized citiesetc.The main innovation of this paper is included in the optimal size of the theory of urban systems analysis.This study provides a certain reference to understanding problems existing in the process of Chongqing city system development and put forward the countermeasure.But due to the author’s limited ability, there are still some deficiencies in this paper, such as research objects are not included in the small towns, the space structure analysis is not deep enough and so on.The above deficiencies hope to be further improved in the future research.
