Purpose: Through Rosemary chemical composition of further research,to provide a basis for further research according to the chemical research in Rosmarinus officinalis L.Materials and Methods: The compounds were isolated by chromatography on silica gel column, ODS and sephadex LH-20 column chromatogry.Traditional rosemary 75% ethanolic extract of chemical composition of research, identify their structures, and structures were identified by the physico-chemical properties and spectral analysis;determine indicator constituents Caffeic acid,Ferulic acid,rosmarinic acid by high-performance liquid chromatography.Results:1.Chemical research: ten compounds were obtained and identified asβ-sitosterol(1),4′,5-dihydroxy-7-methoxyflavone(2),uvaol(3),3,5-dihydroxy-7,3′,4′-trimethoxyflavone(4),5-hydroxy-4′,7-dimethoxy-6-methylflavone(5),quercetin(6),rutin(7), ferulic acid(8), oleanolic acid(9),rosmarinate acid(10)respectively. Compounds 2, 4 and 5 were obtained from this genus for the first time.2.Content determination: The HPLC method to determine the indicator components Caffeic acid,Ferulic acid,rosmarinic acid of Rosmarinus officinalis L.had good linearity, precision, stability, reproducibility and recoveries ,which were up to standard.It can be used as quantity basis of the quality control of Rosmarinus officinalis L.Conclusions: Through the compounds were isolated by chromatography on silica gel column, ODS and sephadex LH-20 column chromatogry, which research the chemical research in Rosmarinus officinalis L.Through orthogonal test, the optimum rosemary water-soluble ingredients optimized extraction methods.Through the HPLC method to determine the indicator components Caffeic acid,Ferulic acid,rosmarinic acid of Rosmarinus officinalis L.these methods are fast, accurate,repeatability, which can be used for further research and development of Rosmarinus officinalis L.
