This study has developed methods for determination of some principal components in FFDSF. These components are danshensu, protocatechuic aldehyde, salvianolic acid B, cryptotanshinone, tanshinone I, tanshinone IIA, notoginsenoside RI, ginsenoside Rgi, ginsenoside Re, ginsenoside Rbi. They are presented the water-solubility and fat-solubility components of Danshen and saponins of Panax notoginseng. The determinations were carried out under five sets of HPLC conditions. HPLC system for danshensu and protocatechuic aldehyde employed methanol-acetonitrile-0.5% acetic acid (2.5: 3.5: 94) and was monitored at 281nm; system for salvianolic acid B used acetonitrile-0.5% acetic acid (20: 80) and was monitored at 253nm; system for cryptotanshinone, tanshinone I and tanshinone IIA employed methanol-water (75: 25) and was monitored at 254nm; system for notoginsenoside RI, ginsenoside Rgi, ginsenoside Re used acetonitrile-0.05% phosphoric acid (19: 81) and was monitored at 203nm; while system for ginsenoside Rb] used acetonitrile- water (33: 67) and was monitored at 203nm.The study has investigated the partnership of Danshen and Panax notoginseng. The result shew that Danshen and Panax notoginseng in the prescription were not simplly added but lied some unaware rule between them. This study has also investigated the components in rats' serum after oral administration of FFDSF. By biopharmaceutical analysis, danshensu, ginsenoside Rgi, ginsenoside Rbi had been found in the serum. In order to get more information about the medicine-effect substance of FFDSF, this study developed a new method to determine the pharmacokinetics of danshensu.
